Rixa brought this article to my attention. 
A study was done at UCSF which showed that waiting at least 2 hours if a mom is not dilating during active labor can help prevent about 1/3 of the cesareans done for “failure to progress”

Verbal abuse during birth.

Interesting nurse perspective
